This is the painting that will be in our silent auction. I’m actually pretty proud of it. The coloring was new to me and I managed to pull it off in two days. And now the girls are fighting over who gets to keep it until the auction.
Poster for our roller derby league’s fundraiser! We’ll be having a costume/fashion show, games, live music, and silent auction (one of my paintings will be in it!). If you’re in the area or want something to do around Lubbock, come and hang with everyone! Costumes are encouraged! It’s $5 for 21+ (it’s a fundraiser after all) and $7 for under 21 and help support local roller derby!

This morning I was contacted by a reader who said she had found my book on Amazon Kindle for sale and was very happy because she was hoping I would publish it. Except I hadn’t. It was stolen. The book cover (that I had created) was edited to say her name instead, the summary was ripped off my Fictionpress.com profile page, and she hadn’t even bothered changing character names or locations.
Queue crying.
But you should feel proud! Someone liked it enough to steal it!
No. I’m not. You’re a fucktard. This isn’t someone stealing a doodle. This is a BOOK. 550+ pages, 160,000 words, 5 YEARS of work. My thoughts, my imagination, EVERYTHING is in that thing. So no, I’m not fucking proud. I’m raging. I’m crying and screaming and wanting to tear the world about with my bare hands and wondering WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS YOU SACK OF SHIT?!
In probably an hour, someone took 5 years of my life and slapped it under a $3 price tag thinking nothing would come of it. They took the proudest thing in my life, the one thing I could die knowing I had accomplished something, and put it in the discount bin.
I’m sorry, but no.
I’ve emailed Amazon about it and have gone almost 12hours without a hint of a reply. I’m giving them 48hrs to have it taken down or I’m looking into an attorney.
But then there’s another thing I want to try.
I want to make noise.
I want to make so much fucking noise the author gets scared and takes it down herself. I want everyone to know that she is a thief so she never does this to anyone else and so anyone in the future knows that this is not acceptable.

Review them, write that it’s stolen, whatever needs to be done. We started writing reviews stating that the books are stolen so no one spends money(which is stupid because the stories are published for free but BY THE ORIGINAL AUTHORS).
PLEASE HELP! Tumblr has always supported me and every one tries their hardest. Spread this around. Contact the sites. I can only do so much and I really don’t want to go to an attorney but I will if this doesn’t get fixed.

With a bit of work, the websites have taken down her work. I’m hoping to still pursue this so Amazon and B&N will create a better system for uploading ebooks. If Professors and teachers can have a program that makes sure you don’t plagiarize essays, these major websites can get something to make sure someone doesn’t plagiarize a book.
